...I don't know if this will be enough, but still...

To all those who've suffered for our sake, who've bled so we could be unscathed, who've gone through the ultimate hell so we could only see it in our nightmares:

Regardless of our political standings, of our backgrounds, of our births, of ours and yours, a soldier is a soldier. Love the soldier and hate the war, as all hate war, but it must be the soldier who hates it the most. Yet every day they pick-up and face more of that torture, so we won't have to. For that, the very least that we owe them is respect and appreciation. The corrupt men who give our troops foul names are not worthy of such respect, yes, but they are so few in comparsion to the majority of our people. It doesn't matter if you like them or not, respect the ones who protect us and our way of life. Thank you for how you've suffered for our sake.

To my Tio: Te amo. Gracias. I can't imagine the hell you went through. Thank you.

To my Dad: You didn't see action, Dad, but that doesn't make you less of a soldier in my eyes. You still put in the time and volunteered to put your life down, and I'm happy you didn't have to pay that price. I'm still proud of you to know that if it was called of you, you would have willingly suffered for our sakes as well.
